ACCOMMODATION

Hotels
Most major hotels are at least an hour walk from the synagogues.
The closest hotel is in the Rathmines area which is about 25 minutes walk. Try the Days Hotel, Rathmines on 3531 406 6100 (www.dayshotelrathmines.com ). Can be noisy on lower levels from nightclub.
A little further away is Jury's Hotel, Christchurch which is a bit more then 1 hour. Tel: (+353 1) 454 0000

Guesthouses

A nice local guesthouse is St. Aidens Guesthouse - www.staidens.com (+3531 490 2011) - about 10 minutes walk from the shul. Ask for the community rate (€45 p/p). They are usually able to serve kosher breakfast, or hot “Hermolis ”airplane meals. Staff are very helpful.
Another guesthouse is Carrick Hall (+3531 492 2444), www.carrickhall.ie. Also about 15 minutes walk.

Hermolis frozen (airplane style) meals are also available in Super Valu, and they are sometimes stocked by the above guesthouses. These meals are specially sealed and can be heated in a non-kosher oven.

Bed & Breakfast
For a B&B close to the synagogue try Belleville House, 125 Rathfarnham Road on (+3531) 490 0141 (35 euro).

YOUTH HOSTELS

The community has a Jewish house/hostel for students and young professionals (age 20 - 35). This is in a good location in Dublin, but not suitable for couples. Email irishcom@iol.ie for details.

There are no other youth hostels nearby, the nearest are in the City Centre. Most hostels are mixed rooms (men/women), check in advance. The closest hostel is probably Kinlay House. It is also a direct route from there to Terenure. Check www.kinlayhouse.ie for details.

If you stay in the city centre it will take you at least 1 hour to walk to Terenure. Other closer areas are Rathgar, Rathmines, Terenure and Rathfarnham (make sure to ask how far they are from Terenure Cross!)

NOTE: In the summer accommodation in Dublin is always heavily booked. RESERVE IN ADVANCE! before arriving here.

NOTE: Some hotels use electronic door keys. This can be problematic for use on Shabbat.
